Shine Bright Foundation are leading the fight against Triple Negative Breast Cancer. TNBC affects 10-20% of all breast cancers and is more likely to affect younger women under 35. Studies have shown its more aggressive than other cancers and the survival rate is lower as it doesn’t respond as well to treatment as the many other sub-forms of breast cancer. SBF is a local, South Cheshire, organisation supporting research for the benefit of the 150,000 new patients every year who are directly affected by TNBC. The Shine Bright charity was formed in 2013 in honour and response to the untimely death, at just 32, of local inspirational woman Sarah Bennett who, along with her loving friends and family, fundraised for research into the condition in the few years she had left to her.
